With Google voice why would anyone need this?

  3. Reuben says:

    Hey Todd,

    Good question.

I happen to use both services and each one has its own perks.

Google Voice is nice because I can customize voicemails for different numbers, record the calls with the press of a button, and use it like an inbox.

Grasshopper is great for entrepreneurs because it provides a toll free number with extensions (one of the many features). This is important because it can create a virtual office for the professional on the go. Google voice doesn’t do this. I would say this is the main benefit - creating a virtual office (extensions, hold music, name directory, etc…).

But I will still keep using my Google Voice number too. ;)

Wow! What a site. I was looking for something else on Bing when I happened across your site, and I am glad I did. Don’t have time to read all of it right now, but I have added your site to my Favorites and will come back to learn more. I find VoIP very interesting. I have learned a lot in implementing a small VoIP network at home, and am thinking of starting VoIP business in my area. There are a number of small businesses in my region that would benefit from it greatly. Please bookmark my site at http://www.ArtRL.com when you have time and please let me know how you like it. Have a great weekend.

  5. great blog. I like the way you have it laid out. Which platform are you currently using? I’m thinking about setting up my blog this way.
